Clover Seed Planting Tips:

Our clovers are best placed on shady, tree lined edges and smaller food plots (less than an acre). For best practices, use our line of excellent forage soybeans for larger, open areas (greater than 2 acres) to maximize tonnage, attraction, and animal growth.

Annual clovers are best planted in the fall, but frost seeding can be done on any of our products.   Most products are available in both one acre and 1/6th acre sizes.

Generally, it is best to sow clover seeds in the early fall (from September to early October). This timing allows the clover to establish before the first fall frost. So, be sure to plant clover at least 40 days before the arrival of freezing temperatures. Spring plantings are best (around February to May) when the ground is soft and moist. Broadcast the seeds directly onto the soil surface and lightly cover them with a thin layer of soil.
